MARTIN'S GRADUATION St. Martin's Separate School held their Annual Graduation Breakfast honoring the Grade eight students on Thursday morning, June 25th, After Communion the students and their guests sat down to ' a delicious breakfast served , by the Catholic Women's League in the Church Hall. Ronald Matuszak accompanied the National Anthem and Very Rev. Dean E.A. Gallagher gave the Grace - a Prayer for Pope Paul. Mr. J. Kennedy of the School Board, proposed the AWARDS PRESENTED IN PUBLIC SCHOOL Students of Terrace Bay Public School assembled Wednesday morning for the presenta- tion of Awards and Grade eight certificates, along with parting remarks from their Princi- pal, Mr. W.F. Colborne. Opening with the National Anthem and a Worship Period led by Rev. T. Garnett Husser, Mr. Colborne introduced Mr. A. Parrison, Chairman of the School Board. Mr. Pattison offered his congratulations to the teachers and to Constable Milkovich for his unceasing efforts with the School Patrol, considering i a really successful year. He wished the students and staff a pleasant and safe vaca- tion, Constable Milkovich thanked the students for their co-operation during the year, and urged them a}l to safe practices during summe vacation, offering his and Constable Warfield assistance or advice at any time. He closed by announcing the School Patrol party for tha evening, Board member J. Shivas assisted the Princi. pal in presentating Grade eight certificates. Honor roll students for 1964 were: Gary Brook Ted. Brown, Jane Colborne, Pamela Cumming, Marcia Hamilton, Linda Hayes, Jane Kelty, Robt. "It is most fortunate we have people in Terrace Bay interested in making awards for scholastic progress", Mr. Kenney informed his audience as he introduced those making the presentations. "With classmates voting for the winner of the Proficiency Award, some might think it was just a popularity contest", he explained.
