Before they left a party was held in their honor at the home of Audrey and Cleon Smith when their friends presented them with a lovely ceramic vase and fruit bowl. Wednesday evening Evelyn's many friends gathered at the Moose Hall where a social was held in her honor. Upon arrival a very clever corsage of Kimberly-Clark products was given Evelyn and later she was presented with lug- | gage. Presentation was made by Marg Duriez on behalf of the girls. Two other ladies took the opportunity of making awards to Evelyn; first the miniature trophy won as a member of the Northwestern Ladies Curling Zone Champions by her skip Ida Romanuk, and secondly, Molson's Six-Ender Plaque presented by her skip on that rink, Heather Lafontaine. The social evening included cards and skits on the sporting episodes of Evelyn's life in Terrace Bay and other humerous in--- cidents, including her days at Walker Lake. Performers were Mary Hale, Vivian Hanna, Ollie Chapman and Phyl Kelty. Mrs. Husser's Grade 5 class in the Public School held a Farewell Party for Jordy Parting ton on Friday and his classmates presented hi with a squall jacket and a Terrace Bay T-shirt Drew Partington was guest of honor at a bar- becue Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Cleon Smith and here his friends gave him a croquet set with their best wishes. Mr.and Mrs. Al Chisholm represented Kim- berly-Clark Corporation Friday at the Credit Union Management Night held at the Ortona Legion Hall in Fort William. Representing the Terrace Bay Credit Union were Mr.and Mrs. Ab Farrow and Mr.and Mrs. Al Ziegleman, The guest speaker was Mr.Don Bell. The Women of the Moose held their annual dinner Wednesday evening at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel. Returning to the Moose Hall a short business meeting was presided over by Sr.Regent Jackie Calder and assisted by Re- corder Marg Duriez. BILLINGS FAMILY FETED BEFORE LEAVING Dorothy and Hal Billings left on Monday to make their home in Burchell Lake, Ontario, where Hal is employed by the North Coldstream Copper Mines. Prior to his departure a sur- prise party was held at the Billings home and Hal was presented with fishing equipment and the best wishes of his friends. Thursday evening a social was held for Dot at the home of June Linton when her friends gave her a magazine stand and ashtray to mark the occasion and again, at their bowling social on Wednesday, her team presented Dot with a gift subscription to the Local News and good wishes in her new home. Diane Billings was guest of honor Sunday when Grades 9A and B combined for a Farewell party at the home of Debbie Anderson. A Danish Good Luck doll was presented to Diane by the classes. Brant Billings was einer tained at the home of several chums .
