OPEN EVERY DAY - O A M\ XD O i) CLOSED GOOD_ FRIDAY MAYTAG WASHERS = STEAM DRYERS SUPERIORS STALLED (Continued from page 1) charge throughout, taking a lopsided 8 - 3 victory. Friday's game was probably the most frustrating game ever, for local fans and players alike . Super- iors complete dominated the play and seemed sure to score a convincing victory. But once again, Reynard worked some of his goaltending magic, holding the locals to a 2-0 lead, despite a steady stream of shots. Then his team mates struck for three late goals and a 3 = 2 win. This sent the team West with Werroad holding a 2 - 1 edge in the best four of seven series. HIGHLIGHTS: = Reynard"s goaltending -- the play of the Leblanc, Lanteigne, Adamo line -- Warroad's refusal to engage in rough play and their businesslike approach to the game -- Dave Whalen's terrific "cover" job on Roger Christian in the third game -- coolness of rookie Webb under some heavy, accurate fire -- revival of some crowd spirit with the "go, go" chant in the first game -- the spirit on the Supe bench, even from players who did not take regular turns. The game on Sunday in Warroad was a decisive victory for Warroad with a 12 - 3 tally. On Monday night the final game was a closer contest but again Warroad won 4= 3. The Lakers now face Flin Flon in Manitoba.
