The' meeting was opened by the recitation of The Act of Consecration of the: 'Bléssed Virgin Mary and Prayer for Teenagers. At the close of the business meeting Very Rev. Dean E.A. Gallagher conducted an enjoyable 'Quiz, followed by @ game' of Password with prizes supplied by the Catholic Women's League The C.W.L. had a delicious dessert and refresh ments ready for the girls at their Annual Membership Tea when new members were cordially welcomed into the Club by the President, Margaret Ann Pineault. SOCIAL NEWS The Catholic Woments League will meet on Sunday evening, November 10th in the Parish Hall following the Rosary in St. Martin's Church at 8 o'clock. Welcome home to Mr." arid a Harry Goodfellc who have spent some three months in Orillia and Toronto, Harry being confined to the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto following their vacation with daughter Jean, He is now a patient in the Terrate Bay Hospital but we wish him a quick recdvery from this visit. HARDWARE SUCCESSFUL HI-C CONFERENCE HELD HERE A very successful Hi-C Conference was held in the Community Church over the past weekend with 175 teenagers attending. The theme of the conference was "So You Want To Be A Missionary!" Theme speakers were The Rev. Fraser Muldrew of Schreiber, and the Rev. Gordon Jardine of Broadway United Church, Fort William. Young people from Fort William, Port Arthus Red Rock, Schreiber and Marathon joined the Terrace Bay group in this project. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church provided a banquet on Saturday evening. In addition to studies the young people enjoyed a tour of Kimberly-Clark Pulp & Paper. Mill. Various games at the High School and Recreation Centre were held and also a Dance at the High School. The Conference concluded with a Communion Service Sunday afterncon at 2 P.M. The Terrace Bay Hi-C Group under its President Lloyd Phillips, pl- ned the conference. They extena their thanks to those who opened their homes and entertained these young people, to the Ladies Auxiliary, Ken Ward and the Recreation Council, Kimberly- Clark and all those who helped to make this conference a success.
