Dakin, L. Burns, T. Gaudet and 0. Papineau. Each lady was presented with a corsage before the ceregony by the Senior Regent J. Calder. It was decided to send M. Duriez to the Lakehead for the Recording Secretaries Convention. Publicity Chairman B. O'Neil, with co- workers K. Furyk, D. Whitton and A. Todesco served a chili con carne luncheon. Party games were played and the winners were A. Didura and A. Yates. A very enjoyable evening was spent by all twenty members present. The next meeting will be Wednesday, September 18th. SOCIAL NEWS The marriage of Miss Mary Lou Elliott, formerly of Terrace Bay, to Mr. Pat Doran in St. Rose of Lima Church, Scarboro, was attended by Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Cavanaugh, Mrs. Mary Chesley with Kelly Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Don Tees and Mr. and Mrs. L. Waghorn of Terrace Bay. Mrs. Chesley and Mrs. Tees were attendants of the bride. Enroute home from their vacation, Mr. and Mrs. Waghorn visited with Mrs. B. England (mee Nurse Mary Howard of Terrace Bay) and family, who wished to be remembered to her many friends here. Mr. and Mrs. J. Waddington of Kingston, Ontario are visiting for a couple of weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ferrier. 3 Miss Betsy Ferrier has returned for another term at Havergal College in Toronto. Miss Donna Lohr and Miss Drena DeGroot have returned home from three weeks spent in Nassau. Mr. and Mrs. H. Coe accompanied their daughter Janice to Toronto where she will again attend Havergal College this year. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. Cotton this week are her father, Mr. C. Wedley, her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John | Versehoure of Winnipeg. Mr. and Mrs. S. Brend with their sons have returned from a vacation trip visiting in Ottawa, and in. Montreal with his brother Mike and family, in Toronto with another brother Peter and family, her sister in St. Catharines and a trip to Niagara Falls before returning home up through the Soo. Robby Larson enjoyed a party Wednesday afternoon on the occasion of his seventh birthday. Twelve boyfriends joined in the fun, with his sister Marilyn conducting games and assisting' in serving the party supper. Each went home with their bags of favors. Marcia Jeanneret, Linda Marsh and Sherry McCaskie left this week for St. Thomas, where they will attend Alma College this coming term SCHREIBER SOCIAL NEWS Mr. and Mrs. D. Cosgrove and family of Dryden are visiting Mr. and Mrs. A. Cosgrove. Miss Lenore O'Brien has returned from Manitouwadge where she spent the summer with her sister Mrs. DtArcy MacDonald. Miss Ruth Cebrario has accepted a position on the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital, London.
