THE NEWS ie =e COUPLE CELEBRATE 53RD WEDDING ANNIVERSARY . an F ue cCouan celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 28th with the following of their family attending a dinner party in the parental home--Mr.& Mrs. J.McCouan, Mr.& Mrs. A.McColeman, Mr.& Mrs. E.McCouan, Mr. and Mrs. 0.Johnson, Mr.& Mrs. L.Hiller, all with their families and Pat McCouan of Marathon. Also here for the happy occasion were Mrs. McCouan's cousins, Mr.& Mrs. George Marbe and family of Port Arthur. Mr.& Mrs. Oscar Laine are spending their holidays with Mr.& Mrs, Dick Remillard. Mrs. Oscar Niemi accompanied the Laines. Mr.Keith Scott Sr. and Miss Margaret Ander- son, have flown from Scotland to visit Const. and Mrs, Keith Scott here. Mr. and Mrs, J.Johnson and Mrs. J.Gordon are here from Edinburgh, Scotland, visiting Mr.and Mrs. George Gordon and Mr.and Mrs. Alec Gordon. Mr.& Mrs. Bill Campbell and family, Fort William, spent the holiday here with reiatives. The following relations and friends attended the July 6th wedding in Calgary of Frank Diano and Nina Atiuto: Dominic Diano, Mr.& Mrs.Frank Speziale and family, Mr.& Mrs. Cosimo Diano and Family, Mr.& Mrs. Dominic Commisso and family, Mr.& Mrs. Joe Speziale and family, Mr.& Mrs. Jimmy Costa and family, Mrs.Sarah Figliomeni, John Trichilo and Peter Commisso. Mr.& Mrs.Don McLeod and family, of Sault Ste.Marie and Mr.& Mrs. Ross Greenwood and Bruce, of Toronto, are holidaying with Mr.& Mrs. J.Rattray. Mrs.Arthur LeBlanc and family have gone to visit relations in Winnipeg, Bill Spicer has returned from Winnipeg General Hospital and Jim Gellert from Port Arthur General Hospital. Miss Sharon Gellert and Miss Elaine Souka of Winnipeg spent the weekend with Mr.& Mrs. Herbert Gellert. Mrs. J.R.Kelly and family of Marathon are visiting with Mrs.J.E.Sheehan who, with her mother, Mrs.J.Walsh, has just returned for the summer months, Mr.& Mrs. Del Weberg, Cathy and Carol, have gone to spent their vacation with relations and friends in Kenora, Eagle River. and Winni- pegosis. Mrs.Georges Legault and son David of Fort | William are visiting Mr.& Mrs. J.D.Bryson in town and Mr.& Mrs. Jack Bryson on Slate Isle. Mrs.D.McLeod and son Donald of Embro, Ont. are the guests of Mr.& Mrs, Bill Whent. Miss Marie Cebrario and Miss Pat Quinlan are vacationing in Europe. Mr. & Mrs. Leo Aber of Sudbury are the guests of Mr. & Mrs. George Duncan, Mrs. Wilfred McLaughlan of Hamilton, is visiting her parents, Mr. & Mrs, Norman Mc- Cuaig. _ Mr.& Mrs, B.Rudman and family of Ft.Wil- liam visited over the holiday weekend with Mr.& Mrs. F.C,Macadam, Mr.& Mrs. Geo.McCurdy of No,Battleford, Sask. visited with the F.C.Macadamts while enroute to Toronto. MOLINSKI-~BUSH NUPTIALS A wedding of local interest took place in Vancouver on June 15 when Gloria Jean, daugh- ter of Mr.& Mrs, J;G.Molinski and Daniel F, riage by Father Faley in St.Augustine R.C. Church, _ The bride, given in marriage by her father was gowned in floor length white organza and her half length veil was held by an organza gardenia, She carried a bouquet of white gar denias,. The bride had five attendants; the matron of honor was gowned in dark green faille, the Ldesmaids in aqua faille and the flow | girl in a white lace frock, The senior attendants carried cascade of white shastas, yellow centred, and the flower girl a basket of white shastas, The groom was at- tended by his brother, For the reception the bridets mother received in a beige flower ed sheath with chiffon duster amd accessories in tangerine, while the groom's mother chose a yellow linen ensemble with hat and acces sories in white.
