March 14, 1963 NOTICE In order to clarify some misunderstanding in connection with the removal of snow By-Law No. 63 reads as follows:- 1. For the purpose of this By-Law (a) "Occupant" of any parcel of land or premises shall mean the owner thereof un- less the parcel of land or premises in question is assessed against both the owner anda tenant or tenants in which case each such tenant shall be deemed to be the occupant thereof, (b) "Access sidewalk shall mean a side- walk running from Simcoe Plaza through the boulevard area adjacent thereto, (c) "Person" shall include a Corporation, 2. The occupant of each parcel of land or premises which fronts or abuts on the side of any street upon which there is a side- walk shall within four hours after any fall of snow, rain or hail shall have ceased, remove or cause to be removed en- tirely from off the portion of sidewalk opposite to such parcel of land or premises the snow and ice resulting from such fall of snow rain or hail, 3, The occupants of parcels of lands or pre- mises nearest to an access sidewalk shall in the manner aforesaid remove or cause to be removed snow and ice from such sidewalk, Any person convicted of a breach of any of the provisions of this By-Law shall upon conviction be libel to a penalty not ex- ceeding (exclusive of costs) the sum of $50.00 for each offense, recoverable under > the SUMMARY CONVICTIONS ACT, W.F, Strutt, Clerk-Treasurer, The Corporation of The Township of Terrace Bay, COUNCIL QUOTES (Cont'd from Page 1) estimate could be placed on the Public School budget regardless of any staff changes, Reeve Heenan reported on a continuing nuisance in the form of trespassers across the property of the Imperial Motel and Terrace Bay Enterprises, This had been hazardous and annoying in itself, but had now increased to the point of running up. and down the stairway.
