Furlonger, After welcoming | the members and representatives he called | upon the Secretary-Treasurer, lirs, N. McGuire, for the minutes of the last annual meeting, Reports for the year were givén by Mrs. McGuire and Miss Muricl Atcheson, Children's ; Aid Society representative for the district. Both ladies. respectfully attributed the foun ding of the local committee to the late Mrs, E, Graham. Assistance from many sources were noted with gratitude by the Society:~ a donation of $450,90 from the Kimberly-Clark Umployees Charity Fund, $418.13 from the North Shore Nurses, $300, 00 from the St, Lawrence Corpora- tion Employees Charity Fuad, Generous dona- tions of clothing and toys were adkigulledget from the Schreiber and Terrace Bay O.\Js: the Terrace Bay C.G.1I.1., the Community Church Ladies Auxiliary, Terrace Day Public School and to the Lakehead Freightways whose free delivery of donations to needy homes or commenities received a special mention, as well as innumerable individuals, Miss Atcheson described the past year.as an active and successful one, She stated that Children's Aid was synonymous with child-' ren and the aim-and purpose of the Society was always upon them however there had been a sharp increase in demand. for family services.
