The Twilighters supplied the music for a record crowd. Door prize of $50. was won by Mrs. Ed. Holmes, Costume prizes were won by Mrs, Lorraine Weaver, lst prize, Ellen Campbell and Nellie Stewart,.2nd prize, and Steve Binaris, 3rd prize. Spot light dance was won by Mr, & Mrs, E£, Fumnmerton, ST. ANDREWS EVENING GROUP HOLD MEETING The Evening Group of St. Andrews United Church held their regular meeting on Wednesda evening with Mrs. J. Morris presiding. Devot- ional period was led by Mrs, L. Christie and Mrs. J. G. Scott. Mrs. H.W. Gellert read minutes and correspondence and Mrs, D, Slater gave the Treasurers Report. The annual Christmas Bazaar and Tea with other attract- ions will be held in. the. Town Hall on Sat. Nov. 18° from 3-5" P.M, Mrs. W. Cringle will assist Mrs. G, Etches as joint convenors for the Legion Banquet on Saturday, November 11th, Mrs. P..Petrushack gave Card Secretary's Report. Scott W, Cringle and P, Petrushack, CHILDRENS ATD SOCIETY HOLDS MEETING The Childrens Aid Society met on Monlay October 30 in the Schreiber Town Hall with Mrs, Ena Graham presiding and Mrs, D, McGuire reading the minutes and giving the Financial standing. : : Miss M, Atcheson, Social Worker, gave a lengthy and very detailed report of her work in this area and of her attendance at Commit- tee meeting and the Convention in Kenora, which proved) very interesting, A donation of a cheque for $200.00 was received with grat- itude from the Kimberly-Clark Charity Fund, Terrace Bay, This will go toward the work of the Society in this area. . Niemi presided for the November meeting of the Womens Association of St, Andrews United Church, Mrs. George Gordon led in the Devotional period. Mrs. H.-P. Weaver gave the Minutes and Correspondence and Mrs, W. J. Thrower read the Financial State- ments, Flower Fund report was given by Mrs, J.B. Ridsdale, and the Sewing Report by Mrs. F, Macadam who stressed that everyone please 1 _turn in their sewing and donations to the Bazaar table by November 30. A letter was read from W.S, Harris, Glerk of Sessions with regard to the use of the Church Hall for special functions, Donations were given to the United College W.A. Bursary Fund and The Prairie Christian Training Centre and to the local W.M.S. and Sunday School. Mrs. H, McBride reported on the recent Turkey Supper. Following the meeting tea was served by Mrs, N, Linkewich, Mrs, 0. Niemi and Mrs. R, Macadam. FUNERAL SERVICES HEJ.) FOR LATE D.J. GODIN | Funeral Services for the late David Joseph Godin, aged 68, who passed away in Terrace Bay Private Hospital, following a short ill- ness on October 28, were held on October 31 from Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church with Rev, J.M. Cano officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were F, Macadam, H, Stewart, B. Thorsteinson, T, Bolan, J.B. Fournier and J, St, Jean and Active Pallbear- ers were G, Ramsay, M. McGrath, Art Moorey, R. Cook, W, Millar, J, Hale. Mr, Godin was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way. Employees Lodge 260... He came to Schreib-: er in 1920 from Calumet Is. Que. where he was He retired from the service of the C.P.R. in October, 1958. Surviving are his wife and 3 daughters, Mrs. G, Ramsay, Terrace Bay, Mrs. J. Devon, Eganville, Ont ., Mrs. M.J. McGrath, Schreiber also 3 sons Robert, Fort William, Leo and Gerald, Schreiber . He was predeceased by a son Leonard in 1938,
