Page 6 . Terrace Bay News December 24, 1958 FIRE IN CURLING CLUB LOUNGE An incident occurred Saturday evening which could have been véry serious, but ~ with due thanks to our-volunteer Fire Fighters who were so speedily on the scene the loss was very light, Around 12.30 Saturday night Mr. Art Beaulier discovered fire spreading rap- idly in and around the doors of the locker room in the Curling rink and turned in the alarm, In very short order members of the Fire Brigade arrived and had the fire completely under con- trol. It was discovered that very unintentionally a cigarette, not quite extinguished, had been gathered up with paper and other rubbish and thrown in the garbage. Naturally we all know ~ better, but slip-ups do occur, It is hoped that each and every resident will be especially careful over the holiday season, but it is also reassuring to know we have such an efficient working force on our Fire Brigade. ; THIER HEHE BEST WISHES TO ALL THIS HOLIDAY SEASON AND Women of the Moose (Conttd} the close of the meeting members assist- ed the men in decorating the hall for the dance, The next meeting will be on January 7th at 8,00 P.M, in the Moose Hall Terrace Bay.
