LADIES CUnLING NEWS Plans and preparations are complete for the opening gun of the 4th Annual LBonspiel with the first draw to commence Friday afternoon at 3:00. With 6.local and 17 visiting rinks participating from Chapleau, Manitouwadge, Heron Bay South, Marathon, Schreiber, sort arthur, Fort William and Beardmore, there is every indication of a successful and enjoyable bonspiel. The banquet is being held at Hotel Terrace on Saturday 6:30 p.m. sharp, and any club. member is welcome to attend. Tickets _ are available for $1.75 from Betty bouchard and. should be picked up by Friday so the Hotel can be notified of the number of any extra place settings in advance. The round robin series for the Hudson Bay Club Championship is fast drawing to a close. There are a few postponed games that should be played off within the next week as information has been received that the ice plant will be closed off on April 14, There is evidence of 3 or 4 ties for top "+ spot formulating and ice time will be required to schedule play-off games.
