Monday, March 3lst is the date for the Federal Election, The poll will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 pem, and will be located in the Curling Club Lounge at the iecreation Centre. Transportation will be provided by the Kiwanis Club of Terrace May between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., for anyone who is otherwise unable to get to the poll. During the same hours Kiwanis will provide a baby sitter for anyone who has to leave children in order to vote. Anyone interested in either of these services is requested to phone 3542, The Kiwanis Club would like to remind parents to fill out the Kiwanis card available at the poll, thereafter having it returned to the elementary school which their young- Ster attends. The classroom with the largest percentage of parents voting, will be treated to a free show!! at the last General Election held June 10th, 1957, 82% of the Terrace Day electorate turned out to vote. While this percentage was high enough to place us first in our constituency regarding percentage voted, it is not impossible to have a near 100% turn- out, thus placing Terrace Bay in a position to win recognition as the town which provided the largest percentage turn-out in Canada!! The right to vote is a privilege we should not take for granted.
