LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY CONGRATULATIONS SUPERIORS //1 The most exciting tension packed series yet witnessed has just been completed with Terrace Bay Superiors coming out of "the fray against the League leading Marathon Mercuries as finalists for the North Shore League Championship. Taking Marathon on their home ice the first game with a decisive score seemed to remove any complex Superiors had in "playing against a club that up until now had always come out the winner in final Show downs. The last two games, Thursday and Sunday at the Terrace 3ay Arena, were games that the fans will compare to all future play-offs. Both teams, evenly matched, had to skate fast offensively and defensively, a split seconds hesitation on any scor- ing chance lost the scoring opportunity. The games were fast and rugged and to the Terrace Bay fans at least too close when after sixty minutes of give and take, the games had to be decided by a ten minute overtime play. that Superiors were able to establish themselves superior. To a team where each player played his position so well, it is unfair to pick anyone as a star. Under the Sports Section of this paper will be found a summary of the last two games as well as some appropriate prose submitted by an avid fan, sak It was in the bonus periods SUPERIORS PLAY RED ROCK ROYALS IN NORTH SHORE HOCKEY LSAGUE FINALS Terrace Bay Superiors winners of Series A semi-finals versus Red Rock Royals winners of Series B semi-finals for the North Shore Hockey League Championship and the Carlings!
