EDUCATION WEEK MARCH 3 TO MARCH 7 Across Canada this week is being observed as Education Week. Our local schools have had a busy week in observing this special week as Educational Week. At the High School on Wednesday, March 5th, the parents were invited to visit the school at any time to observe the ordinary every day lessons in progress. The Terrace Bay Public School had Tuesday, March 4th, set aside for parents to visit classes. In the evening from 7.30 to 9.00 the parents were given the opportunity of talking with the teachers sand inspecting the pupils work. This was a successful program and was well attended. St. Martin's School will hold their Open House on Thursday, March 6th. There will be two sessions - 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 pem., and 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. All parents and interested people are cordially invited. - Education Week for 1958 concludes on March 7th. But as one local Principal has said this program for Education Week does not take the place of private and personal interviews with the teachers on your children's progress or other problems.
