Eleanor (Nora) Anna Montey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Edward Montey of Eagle River, Ontario, exchanged marriage vows with Joseph Andrew Peters of Terrace Bay, in a double ring ceremony performed by Father E. A. Gallagher in St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church, Terrace Bay, Ontario, on Saturday November 9th at 11 o'clock. The groom is the Son of Mr. Alex Peters of Timmins, Ontario and the late Mrs. Peters. Bouquets of gold and white shasta daisies formed the wedding setting and white satin bows marked the guest pews. Music was pro- vided by Mrs. E. Pineault and soloist was Miss Edith Adamo who sang "On This Day" and "Veni Jesu". Altar boy was Lyle Nicol, ~.' Escorted to the altar on the arm of her father, the bride.wore a ballerina length gown of white:.velvet, fashioned with a sweet- heart neckline and an empire waistline extend- ing into the flared princess lines of the very full skirt, with soft pleats at centre sec-: tions of back. A matching jacket with three- quarter length sleeves with tiny rhinestone buttons over the elbow and a stand-up Queen Anne collar topped her gown. Her chapel. veil of French: illusion with sequin embroidered edge was held by an original Rosepoint lace and French tulle ywuecen Anne crown, embroidered with sequins and pearls. The bride wore clear plastic shoes, white gloves and carried a cas- cade of red roses. Maid of honour, Miss Gay Koy, chose a waltz length gown of moss green velvet cut on princess lines and gathered at the back of the skirt with a big bow, at the waist. A low round neckline coming to a V at the back show- ed to perfection the single strand of pearls and her three-quarter sleeves had small gathers at the cuff.. She wore a small white feathered cap and all white accessories and carried a nosegay of yellow roses surrounded by feathered mye Nene (cont'd next col.) Groomsman was Mr. George Matymish and ushers were Brian Montey, brother of the bride, and David Lohr. 4& receiption in the Terrace Bay Curling ~ Lounge followed in the afternoon with the bride's Mother receiving in a street length dress of Ticatina crepe in soldier blue, fash- ioned with a V neckline above the empire waist and slim skirt. «A pink velvet shell hat, pink gloves, black shoes and purse and a corsage of pink roses completed her ensemble. The toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. John Dejonghe and the guest book was circul-. | ated by niece of the bride, Miss Holly Bernd- tsson. Servitors were Mrs. Doris Gerlach and Miss Donna Lohr. The three tier wedding cake decorated with pink roses and topped by a pair of doves flying under an archway of flowers was resplendant in a setting of tulle on the _ bridal table. : For travelling, the bride wore a red bouclé knitted suit with black hat and gloves, black anc red shoes and a grey kidskin shortie coat. Mr. & Mrs. Peters will reside in Terrace Bay where the bride is a teacher in the Public School and the groom is with the Ontario Prov- incial Folice. Out-of-town guests included Mr. J. Peters, and Mr. G. Matymish of Timmins, Ontario; Mr. & Mrs. E. Montey and son David, and Laurence Erickson of Eagle River, Ontario; Mr. and Mrs. K. Niemi of Port Arthur; Corporal & Mrs. Ford nichardson, Constable and Mrs. W. J. Cringle and Mrs. Lorne McBride of Schreiber. Previous to her marriage the bride was feted with a linen shower with Mrs. Bert Lohr as hostess; a miscellaneous shower with Miss Marilyn Gordon and Mrs. hoy Larson co-hostesses; and a shower at the home of Mrs. Lois Shubaly with teachers of the Public and Separate Schools attending.
