December 1956 To all employees of the LongLag Pulp and Paper Qompany, their families and other residents of Terrace Bay: This is my first oppertunity as Mill Manager to extend the greetings of the seasen to you and to express my thanks for the help and gooperation I have received during the past several months, With this type of support the preblems of a new job become considerably less difficult, Onee again we have completed a most success- ful year so far as the operation of the mill is concerned, and also through a continued growth in conmunity spirit and activity, When we compare our situation with that of so many people through- out the world we mst realize that just living in Canada is one of our greatest blessings, Here in addition to material prosperity we can live in peace as free men and women, Therefore, I sincerely wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous and Peaceful New Year, Let us, however, take just a moment during this joyous season to express the hove that within the near future the entire world will be able to enjoy the blessings which we possess.
