NORTH CAMP SOFTBALL ; On Sunday, July 29th the Canaries defeated the Budgies for the fifth time in six meetings, by a score of 26-18, Errors paved the way for their fourth straight loss, The seventh game was played on Thursday, August 2nd, and this time the Budgies just managed to stay out in front by the narrowest of margins, 20-19. It was only their second win;:but for a while it looked as if the Canaries would again pull the game out of the fire, Trailing 20-14 in the*sixth, the Canaries scored five runs, aided by Pdlachuck's two-run homer, However, thé: turning point came in the last inning, when Pytyck, lead- ing off for the Canaries tripled, but was thrown out at home when he attempted to score the tying run. Les Bougile made a juggling catch of.a pop fly'to third, to end the game, with thestying run on third base. Ron Potyok pitched a steady game for the Canaries, with Carl Anderson and Frank Ginn being standouts in the field, along with Ed. St. Denis of the Budgies. ; Due to popular demand the number of weekly games has been increased from two to three, Games will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights at 6:30 in order to give the shift workers more opportunity to play.
