{ KIWANIS CLUB TO ANNUALLY AWARD A MEDALLION ' TO.A SEPARATE AND PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENT _ The Public and Business Affairs Com- mittee of the Terrace Bay Kiwanis Club have worked out the details of an annual award to be made to the Public and Separate Schools, Pa This Committee together with the two principals of the schools decided on the following basis for making the awards. The Kiwanis Club are indebted to the school principals, Mr. Ray Kenney and Mr. John Morrison for their co-operation in this matter, a From the following it will be noted that after the eligible students have been nominated the student chosen for the award is chosen by ballot. The Award shall consist of a suitably engraved medallion. 3. The Award will be made annually to a pupil of the Terrace Bay Public School and Terrace Bay Separate School enrolled in the eighth grade, .. 4, The Award shall be subject to can- cellation or alteration by the donor, the Kiwanis Club of Terrace Bay, d+ In Making this award the following shall be considered: (a) General proficiency of the student, (b) Academic standing not to be lower than 70%. (c) Participation in all school act- ivities,. (d) Attitude of the student toward his school, his teachers and fellow students, NOTE: On the above basis the principals and teaching staff nominate those students who are eligible, 6, Basis of making the award shall be as follows: (1) The principal, the teaching staff and the students enrolled in grades VII and VIII shall be eligible to vote, (2) Voting shall be by. ballot. The award will be presented to the student getting the highest number of point and in case of a tie there shall be a joint presentation for that year with both stu- dents receiving a medallion. 8. Voting: shall take place on the Friday closes to June the First in each school year, The presentation of the medallions shall be made at a suitable school ceremony prior to the conclusion of the current school year. 9.
