MILL SAFETY GROUP TO MEET AT DRYDEN The Northwestern Branch (Mills) of the Ontario Pulp and Paper Makers! Safety Association are to meet in Dryden on May 25th for their regular Spring Safety Meeting. The Dryden Paper Company will be host to the delegates from the ten mills in the Northwestern Area, Mr. Norman W. Hardy of Dryden, and General Chairman for the Mills Group will preside at all the sessions. Highlighting the one day conference will be a.talk on "Sarety in Your Plant" by Dr. W. I. Wigle of Dryden, Ontario. Dr. Wigle will speak at the evening banquet, o-0-0 GUIDES AND BROWNIES The Terrace Bay Girl Guides and lst Pack Terrace Bay Brownies held a joint meeting on Monday evening. Fly up, walking up and enrollment ceremonies were held under the leadership of Brown Owl Mikus and Acting Guide Captain Jeanneret. Girls taking part in the flyup cere- mony were Peggy Shirriff, Noreen Scowen and Diane Marcotte. These girls having earned their Golden Hands in two years as Brownies are now entitled to fly up to Guides, Upon leaving Brownie Land they were given wings to enable them to fly up the golden path and through the gate to Guide Land, Guide Helen Dennis welcomed Fly ups: Noreen Seowen and Diane Marcotte and Guide Char- lotte Craig welcomed Fly up Peggy Shirriff, Susan Wig welcomed Joan Bouchie in the walk up ceremony. The regular meeting of the Silver Birch Chapter, 0.E.S,. was held- Monday evening, with Worthy Matron, Mrs, Alice Farrow and Alex Sinkins, Associate: ~ Patron, presiding. Routine business was transacted, and plans made for the visit of the Worthy Grand Matron Olive Adams of Grand Chapter of Ontario, 0.E.5., on Monday evening, June 18th. A banquet will be held in her honour in the Community Church Hall at 6:00: p.m. sharp with the meeting following. Members wishing to attend should contact the Worthy Matron or the Associate Matron.
