CIGARETTE MACHINE The Recreation Committee has received numerous complaints regarding the location of the cigarette vending machine in the guard station. Many customers apparently feel quite strongly that they should be per- mitted the privilege of operating the machine themselves. Now that the machine has had a period of trial operation, and some of the "bugs" have been ironed out, it has been decided to locate it just outside the guard station on a trial basis, However, if it is to operate success--- fully in the new location, it will 'require the cooperation of everyone. This is therefore an appeal to all LongLac employees to be guided as follows: 1. The machine must be level to operate properly. Please avoid bumping or shaking it, particularly during "punch-out" periods when traffic is heavy. <. If the machine accepts money, and then fails to either vend cigarettes or return the money, it is likely that two packages are stuck together, Shaking or kicking the machine will not help. Simply tell the guard what has happened. He will either refund your money, or see that (Cont. on page 9)
