Volume 6, No, 5 NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO CURLING PLAYDOWNS AT TERRACE BAY On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 3rd, 4th and 5th the Northwestern Curling Association will hold their championship PlayDowns in Terrace Bay. There will be eight rinks present for the playdown includ- ing Terrace Bay, The curlers will come from Kenora, Atikokan, Geraldton, and the Lake- head, The games will be played in the Curling Rink and arrangements will be made to accom- odate as many spectators as possible. Tickets for the playdown are on sale now. One dollar will admit one person for the entire playdown, or 50¢ a ticket for any one game, There will be seven draws for a total of twenty eight games, exclusive of any possible play-off, Games times will be at 9:00 a,m,, 2:00 pem., 8:00 p.m, on Friday and Saturday and remaining game or games on Sunday, So this weekend the best curling available in Northwestern Ontario will be here in Terrace Bay. The winner will play a sudden death game with the Northem Ontario Curling Association winner for the right to play in the Dominion finals, Local curling fans will be pulling for the Terrace Bay rink.
