QUARTER CENTURY BANQUET HELD In last week's News it was reported that Mr, and Mrs, D. ©, Porter, Mr. and Mrs. E, Rowson, Mr. and Mrs. H. Roberts and Mr, and Mrs, J. Knight were in attend- ance at the Spruce Falls Power and Paper Company's Quarter Century Banquet, on November 5th, The program for this occasion included a banquet on November 5th at which Mr, Guy finard, Vice President of the Spruce Falls Company was the chairman, At the banquet the employees of the Company were presented with a Quarter Century Pin and.their wives ere presented with a sterling silver compact. This banquet was the fifth consecutive one, held to honour quarter century members by the Spruce Falls Power and Paper Company. On the Sunday, November 7th, a party for all the quarter century "clubbers" and their wives was held. Entertainment was provided as well as a film made by Spruce Falls showing previous quarter century banquets.: Mr. Bob Lyons, Vice President of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation in charge of Woodlands was the guest speaker. Mr. D, C,. Porter introduced the Long- Lac employees who were new Quarter Century: employees and they were presented with a beautiful Elgin self-winding wrist watch by Mr, Lyons.
