Make batter as follows: V2 cup corn syrup : 1/4 Cup syrup drained from. peaches 1/4 teaspoon almond extract 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/h cup shortening a ie cup sifted flour A teaspoon baking powder l/h teaspoon salt 1 egg . Combine first four ingredients, Place shortening in bowl, Beat until fluffy, sift dry ingredients over shorten- ing, add half the syrup mixture and unbeaten egge Combine and beat one minute.
