Bring your favourite girl or take your husband out of the moth=-balls and usher in this most welcome season with a HAPPY HEART. 0-0-0 SILVER BIRCH CHAPTER #264 The regular meeting of the Silver Birch Chapter No. 264 U.D. was held on Monday evening Mar, 12th in the Terrace Bay Com- munity Church with Mima Moore Worthy Matron presiding, Following the regular business, Rev, Crawley Worthy Patron gave an Educa- tional talk which was very helpful to the members, After the meeting closed a de- lightful lunch was served by Mrs,M, Lundberg and her Committee. H.B.C, BADMINTON TROPHY RETURNS TO TERRACE BAY The 5th tournament was held at Marathon last Saturday March 17/51 and our local team brought home the trophy again. It is of in- terest to note that each successive tourna- ment has been a closer match than the pre~ vious one, The 4th tournament ended in a tie between Schreiber and Terrace Bay with Schreiber winning the right to hold the cup and this last tournament ended with all three teams tied with 10 points each. The N.S.B.L. ruling on this is that a mixed doubles team from the tieing teams play off for the right to hold the cup until the next tournament. Olyve Harrison and Gord Paget teamed up and won from Schreiber by a score of 15 to ll and from Marathon 17 to 14, League standings to date are Terrace Bay 58, Schreiber 55, and Marathon 37 points, There is one more tournament in the N,S.B.L. to be held at Marathon on April 8/51 and if Terrace Bay can retain its lead, they will win the NESCO Trophy for the year. Ray Stachiw played with the team for the first time and did very well during the day's play.
