Dave McDonald (Minor Hockey Administrator) has been assured of a keen interest in townsite hockey for the youngsters. Dave is at present negotiating for affiliation with Hilda's Peewee Hockey Association of Port Arthur. This would automatically place all local minor hockey players on the Chicago Black Hawk negotiation list ad permit minor teams to procure equipment at cost price. A letter was received from Mr. F. W. Rankin, (Secretary-Protem) of the Thunder Bay Amateur Hockey Association outlining requirements for the entry of an intermediate team in the T.B.A.H.A. These requirements indicate that the final date of registering players has been set for January 25th with each team allowed a maximum of not more than 18 players. Teams from Cameron Falls, Geralton, Fort Frances, Kenora as well as the Lakehead will be represented in the playdowns, It is understood that Marathon, Nipigon and Schreiber may also be interested, : Locally anyone who would like to offer their services as a team coach in the House League is urged to contact any member of the Hockey Executive (Bill Borsum,- Harold Marsh, Eldon Marostica, Dave McDonald, Harry Ganja or the Editor of this paper). Those eventually picked for the coaching jobs will choose their teams from a list of those indicating their interest in playing. These teams will be selected at a special executive meeting at which the coaches will be present. Referees are also being lined up, and anyone interested in this phase of the activity is requested to contact any member of the above named executive. Ernie Marriott and Frank Madden were appointed auditors for the '48-'49 season, The executive is also looking for a name for the North Shore hockey team and will welcome any suggestions prior to their next executive meeting which will be held Nov. 16th. In view of the efforts of the Hockey Executive to date it is again urged that everyone interested in playing hockey at Terrace Bay during the coming season should turn in their name as soon as possible in order that teems may be lined up in the near future,
