FROM THE RECORDS 18 Months Ago At Terrace Bay : ns Diamond drilling, for the purpose of probing .seil conditions, comtinued--~ as the major undertaking of the project. Two temporary camp buildings had been erected in the Lower Camp and work was progressing favourably on the setting up of 5 prefabricated camp buildings. Esrle Veitch (Long Lac's Personnel Dept.) arrived at Terrace Bay to help establish an office set-up. ' na ' 12 Months Ago At Terrace 'Bay In the Townsite, 75 house basements were completed and 28 houses had been erected while crews were going ahead with finishing carpentry work, electrical work, plumbing, heating and chimneys.' Sewer work and water mains were completed on D Strect (part of Laurier Avenue), : At the Millsite, the foundations of the Pulp Storage Building were complete and 1/3 rd of the steel for the building had been erected, Footings were also complete for the recovery boiler and 1/2 of the piers were in place. Up to the time of going to press there were no reports from successful hunters, however, only moose tracks had been sighted. The open season on deer and moose continues in this area until November 25th. Now that hunting is in full swing we would again like to stress the necd for care when hunting, 1, Wear bright coloured clothing. 2, Never be ina position where you are forced to state "T didn't know it was loaded". 3.
