Ons SOCIAL CLUB WEINER ROAST (by Editor, Bob Sheppard) On Sunday evening, Aug. 23rd, at 6:00 p.m., 35 of the members of the Terrace Bay Social Club set out on a hike to Lake Superior to hold their first weiner roast. The crowd was very jovial'as they tramped along the road to intake Bay. ; Upon arrival at the site, it was learned that everyone was to take part in a treasure hunt. Several prizes had been hidden and a series of notes leading to each one made the whole affair a riot as groups sped from one clue to another. Weiners were present in plenty and the gang really roused to the spirit of the roast as the darkness descended over the fire which blazed merrily. Hot coffee was served as the group gathered around the fire to enjoy the dying embers. _ The highlight of the evening was Ken Weppler's leading of the sing song. This virtuose is certainly in the wrong business. Everyone present had a wonderful time and the Social Club committee deserves a great deal of credit for a well planned evening. Let's do it again gang!! Membership in the Social Club is $1.00 per year and application forms may be obtained from: Ina Parker, Personnel Office; Peggy Miller, Upper Warehouse; Harry Ganja, Millsite Engineering Office; Ken Weppler, Lower Camp Admin. Office; Ab Keehn, Fraser-Brace Employment Office. : eeges SCHOOL DAYS "School days, school days, Dear old golden rule days ----~ i These words will hold special significance for Townsite children on September 2nd, 1947, for on that day, in House #106, school will open for the first time at Terrace Bay.
