Stuart's arrival in Terrace Bay was postponed for a while due to the flu, In the meanwhile, Gord. is spending his evenings with his new love -- a brand new twenty-two rifle. Since the arrival of a case of Manhattan Mix two of the Townsite's leading citizens report a marked improvement in their diets and the congeniality of their respective spouses. With the heavy traffic in the Townsite it might be a good idea to put a sign at the corners reading "CROSS ROAD. Better Humour Street". -o00- RECREATION HALL For all who are new in Terrace Bay, we review the Recreation Hall Programme: Movies consisting of shorts and news are shown Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. free of charge; Regular movies are shown Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pem.3 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, the hall's facilities of billiards, ping-pong, checkers, chess and card games are open to all comers. On several evenings each week the guys and gals manage to throw a "spur of the moment" dance which means a lot of fun for everybody on hand, -o00- WOOD. ee The LongLac Woodlands Department is glad to see definite signs of spring and hopes it will not be long until bush roads are dried up enough for summer traffic. Hydro sign on Sand Lake (10 miles north of Terrace Bay) says: "Travel this road st your own risk". This indicates the 'break-up' is not far off. Four miles beyond Sand Lake, two camps mark the start of two more projects: The Woodlands Department Camp Nuaber Three (clearing 12 miles of Aquasabon Lakes), and Hydro Camp Number 3B (con- struction of a large reserve dam). Among the new arrivals in the Woodlands Department are Mr. and Mrs. 'Jack' Hennessy and young daughter and son. Jack Hennessy will be working on the Aquasabon Lake clearing job under 'Bob! Hennessy who is Superintendent of LongLac's Woodland Department at Terrace Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Massicotte returned from a pleasant Easter holiday at Long- Lac,Ontario. Lou is the Woodland Department Scaler. He said the roads were passable but heavy going in spots due to the snow storm. Hugh Renaud, transferred to Pulpwood Supply Company, Long Lac, Ontario, is now established in his new home near the Lake with his bride. -o0o-
