The sitter is Frederika Ryckman Dale, wife of Professor William Dale.
Interesting photo. I have one in my collection as well. My grandmother, Gladys Phillips Sinclair, (wife of John F. Sinclair) apparently had two of these and sent (from "Gladys") to the only "Baby Dale" I find in that family tree, Baby Emmeline Dale, youngest daughter of Prof Dale and Frederica. This baby was born in 1913. She lived until 2000.
