- Photo of the McConnell Club Ball Team posed sitting and kneeling outside. This is a rare view of a group of young women who are part of an organized sports team.

Front - Irene Brown, Grace Jackson, Elsie Tovell, Tid Tuer, Vera Brown.
The McConnell Club was a young women's service club formed during World War I and named after an early local fatality in that war, William McConnell. The club remained active after the war, directing their energies towards community projects. There was also a strong social component to the group that still remains. - Notes
