I remember this from when I was a small child. It was so sad when they tore it down. I don't believe there's a marker to indicate where it was. There should be one, in my opinion.

The photo is correct for the Half-way house but the map location is wrong. The correct location is at the intersection of HWY 7 and county road 20 on the map. Klomps Home and Garden is now located at that spot. Across the HWY 7 was the flour mill, gas station and grocery store owned by Flemmon Schellenberger and his family. He was my grandfather and I lived at that corner lot until about 1970 when the DOT decided to expropriate the corner lot and remove the mill and gas station. A family named Steckles lived in the half-way house at that time.
