This house was built around 1886 for C.C. McLaurin, a Baptist minister. In 1890 he sold it to the Cruttenden family who moved here from their house at 36 Ontario St. N. It remained in the Cruttenden family until it was sold to Dr. and Mrs. Smith, ca. 1932.
