Also in the file is a photocopy of a short write-up on this photo (from the St. Marys Journal Argus, Jan. 23, 1941, page 2).
The young men are identified as:
Back row (L-R) - James Smith, William Teskey
Front row - George Armstrong, W.H. May, Frank Schooley. - Notes
- Condition: Fair. Folded, bent and fingerprinted. Very dirty as well.

The five young chaps shown in the above photograph, which was taken in 1881, were all employees of White & Co. (now White & May Co.), dry goods merchants. The central figure at the front is W.H. May, who has been many years head of the firm. The youths in the back row are:-James Smith and William Teskey. In the front row, Geo. Armstrong, W.H. May, Frank Schooley. Mr. May, still active in business, is the only one of the group now living. - Date of Original
