- Description
- Two children standing on the lawn of the house at 160 Maiden Lane. This house is located on a large lot on the south side of Maiden Lane between Robinson Street to the east and Ontario Street to the West. The house is associated with long-time owner, W.H. Graham, who had a gas station and fuel distribution company nearby on Queen Street. The property is still in the family - currently the home of W. H. Graham's grandson, Bill Graham and his family.
The children in the 1918 photograph are identified as Johnnie Graham and Eileen Sutherland (White) who was a neighbour.
Note that the little boy is dressed in a child-size uniform of a soldier in the Canadian Army - a popular child's novelty costume during World War I. The little girl is in Highland dress. - Notes
