These Knox Presbyterian ladies are gathered in the garden of Mrs. J.H. Mathieson, south-east corner of Widder and Wellington. Mrs. Mathieson is in the back row, the left of two ladies wearing large hats. Emma Fraleigh is to her right.

Additional comment: Mrs. Anna Grant (not wearing a hat), the wife of the Reverend Alexander Grant, is sitting on a chair second to the left of the table - partially behind the older woman in black who is in the chair with a wicker back.

The right of the two ladies wearing hats in the back row is Frances Weir Wilson with her daughter Anne Wilson (later Roddick) on her left and our right. This wonderful photograph was donated to the St. Marys Museum by Madaline Roddick and it came originally from the collection of Miss Roddick's sister-in-law Anne Wilson Roddick.
