- James Milroy, brother of Mary Milroy Caven. He was born ca 1798 near Stranraer, Scotland and died 02 September 1869 Hopkinton, Iowa. Lived at Galt, Ontario from 1824 to 1856.
Since this photograph has the name of a Scottish photographer but probably dates from the mid-1800s, it may have been taken on a visit back to Stranraer.
