I believe I have a photo of this store, or perhaps another one, in which my grandmother, Margaret ( Maggie) Stricker is standing beside a long display case and my father, David Stricker, is a little boy, sitting on the counter.
I am interested to see the photos of the lacrosse team because my grandfather, Bert Stricker, is shown in one dated c.1913. My cousin has our grandfather's gold medal from 1921 from a championship game of lacrosse and is also trying to sort out the dates of the lacross association - O.A.L.A.

Hi Jacquelyn,
I am reviewing the comments for photographs posted on Picture St. Marys on behalf of the St. Marys Museum.
Has anyone asked you if it would be possible to see your photograph that shows your grandmother Margaret Stricker and your father David Stricker in the store?
If it is possible to send a digital copy, it would be great to see it and compare it to the interior shown in the photograph on Picture St. Marys.
The Museum has information about the St. Marys lacrosse teams, much of it available on microfilmed copies of local newspapers. The team has some great successes in the early 1920s.
Thanks for your interest.

Hi Mary
I am sending this on to my sister, Sharon Wilkinson, as she has taken on the task of organizing all the old family photos to make a dvd at some point in the future. She might not be able to reply to you for awhile as her partner is gravely ill.
I think our grandfather, Berdine ( Bert) Stricker was on the lacrosse team that you mention.
Thanks for remembering my inquiry to you. I had hoped to visit last summer but a broken arm changed a lot of my plans!
Jacquelyn
