- Description
- A photograph from 1959 of the St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary receiving a cheque for a donation of $1000. The two men are Harold Maxwell (far left) and Fred Dunsford, members of the Hospital Board at that time. The two women are possibly Eileen Graham (second from the right) and an unidentified woman (far right).
Hospital Auxiliaries are volunteer-based groups that run a hospital's gift shop. All proceeds from these sales then go toward new patient care equipment and funding volunteer programs. Built at 267 Queen Street West, the St. Marys Memorial Hospital was completed in 1950. - Date of Original
