Description
A group photo of young boys and girls standing on the front steps of the Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church in St. Marys. The building's large wooden door, stone walls, and red pillars can be seen behind them. The girls all wear white dresses, white socks, and flowy veils while the boys wear dress pants, white shirts, and ties or bowties. This group photograph may have been taken to commemorate these children's first Holy Communion, hence the girls' white dresses and veils.

The Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church was built on 149 King Street North in 1893 to replace the old Catholic church that was previously built in 1859. The rectory from the original 1859 church is still standing today.
