- This is a group photo of of W.Os. (wireless operators or warrant officers) and Sergeants of the 1st Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Canada, C.A.S.F. (Canadian Active Service Force). William Walter is among the men pictured. Gale & Polden was a British printer and publisher.
William Alexander Walter was Isabelle Chesterfield's first fiancé. He served in the Canadian Military until he was missing and presumed dead at Dieppe on August 19th, 1942.
