Description

This is a photograph of the St. James Anglican Church which was built in 1857 and consecrated in 1859. The photo was taken somewhere between 1858-1865 and was presented to A.B. Farney and the Church by Mrs. Adelaide Cruttenden Smith on June 27th, 1923 to be hung in the Vestry. Since its construction, the Cruttenden family has had a connection with the Church.

Notes

Condition: Front: Discoloured with age and tearing/wrinkling at the corners. There is some water damage along the bottom middle of the photo and a few dark spotted stains throughout.
Back: Water damage on the bottom center, as well as white marks left near the four corners (possibly leftover adhesive). Black pen marks at top are smudging and becoming illegible. Some spotted stains throughout.
