- Description
- This is a photograph of a group of people clearing bushes on the future site of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Paul Bedford is in the back row on the left. In the front row, Art Leirman is second from the left and R. Lorne Eedy is third from the left.
In 1994, after two years of effort by a committee led by Lorne Eedy, it was officially announced that St. Marys would be the new home of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was opened on June 4, 1998. Since then, the Hall of Fame has served to value baseball and contribute to community and economic development, education, and healthy lifestyles. - Notes
