- This is a photograph of the staff at the St. Marys Journal Argus in the early 1980s. In the back row, left to right, are: Ray Facey, Max ______, Sharon Pinessi, Vicki Muir, Linda Sutherland, R. Lorne Eedy, Ron Horst, Linda Muir. In the front is Carol Edwards.
The Journal Argus was created in 1920 when John Wolfe Eedy amalgamated the St. Marys Journal and the St. Marys Argus, the town's two newspapers at the time. The newspaper stayed in the Eedy family for four generations, until it was sold to Metroland Media, a subsidiary of Torstar, in 1999. The last edition of the St. Marys Journal Argus was published on November 23, 2017. - Notes
