- Description
- This is a photograph of the old arena that used to be located beside Trout Creek near the Wellington Street Bridge. The rink was built by curlers in the 1870s, but was used by curlers, hockey players and skaters until the 1940s when the cover was removed and it was used as an open-air ice rink. In the early 1950s, a new arena opened on Water Street.
