- Description
- This is a photograph of the dam on a day when the water levels were very high. Behind the dam, you can see the Flats (Milt Dunnell Field) and the Sarnia Bridge.
This dam, which is the same as our present dam, was constructed from stone and concrete in a six-week period in 1908 by the George Carter Company. The dam created a mill pond so large it created a small lake, which is now called Rice Lake. - Notes
