Description
This is a photograph of a water wagon in St. Marys. A man is driving the wagon and it is being pulled by two horses.

Water wagons were used to transport water to put out fires and to dampen the dirt roads in order to prevent them from getting too dusty. You can see a water wagon in the St. Marys Museum collection, located in the barn.
