- Description
- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It is a postcard wishing a happy Eastertide. Eastertide, also known as Easter Season, is the period of fifty days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. It involves sunrise services, exclaiming the Paschal greeting, clipping the church, and decorating Easter eggs, a symbol of the empty tomb. Pictured on the postcard is a cross under rays of sunlight with a nature painting depicted inside. At the base of the cross are Easter lilies, a symbol of the Resurrection of Christ.
