- Description
- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It shows a view looking north towards the intersection of Road 92 and the 25th Line in Lakeside. On the left side of the image is the General store and adjoined house. The store was built around 1903. The white enclosed porch was added in 1936 by Dan and Jack Wilson, who owned the store. At this time, the store sold gas and groceries. It also features a three-car garage that was used for minor repairs and sales. The store officially closed in 1995 and was converted to a private residence, as it stands today.
