- Description
- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It is a view of the Lakeside Resort looking south. On the right is the Dalyrymple house and the pavillion is on the left. William Dalrymple was a farmer who changed his property into a resort in 1907. The pavillion across the street was host to dances, family reunions, and fairs until the 1950s. After 1946, the owners of the property fell on hard economic times, and would create a cottage development on the land.
