Description
This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. Granton is located in Biddulph township in Middlesex County. It was founded in 1866 by two brothers, Alexander and James Grant. It developed adjacently to the village of Awmik, which was established to allow the Grand Trunk Railway to pass through. As the two villages grew, they eventually merged and maintained the name Granton for the entire settlement.

This postcard is used and dated 25 August 1922.
